If you want a guaranteed hit for the small children in your family, then Funarium Indoor Playground in Bangkok is the place to go. This large entertainment area may look like a warehouse from outside, but once you step inside and through the childproof gates – to prevent them from getting out, rather than in of course – you will find 2,000 m2 of activities, with a large climbing structure, little kids soft play, sand and water area as well as a arts and craft centre and baking station. The entire space is air-conditioned so children can run around without worrying about the weather outside, whether it’s rainy or simply too hot. At Funarium you will also find a cafe area, perfect for refuelling during a half a day trip to the indoor activity centre.
The cost varies depending on your size, 200 baht for three hours for kids measuring up to 105cm, 320 baht for three hours for kids over 105cm and up to the age of 13. Adults and kids over 13 pay 110 baht. We would recommend Funarium for children up to the age of 10. It is definitely more focused on entertaining young children than keeping the older ones happy. To run around and enjoy this indoor playground you need to be wearing socks, but if you forget there are pairs for sale for around 75 baht. Getting there is easy, but we recommend a taxi from Phrom Pong BTS as the walk isn’t much fun. Fun Arium is located on Sukhumvit 26, behind K Village a small shopping centre and is open every day from 9:00 until 19:00.
